POWER IN THE BLOOD Part 1: Old Covenant Blood Sacrifices

Dr Jay Jailal - March 04, 2018

Power In The Blood, Part 1 As we approach the Passover observance again, it is important that we rehearse some relevant doctrines regarding the importance of Christ's sacrifice of His life by the shedding of His blood. Can God forgive sins without blood sacrifice? Why did God require animals to be slain under the old covenant? Why did Christ have to shed His blood as an atonement for human sin? All these are foundational questions that Christians should be able to answer easily. Anyone who studies the Bible would observe that blood is a common subject. Millions of animals were slain under the Old Covenant. In coarse language, we can assert that the Bible, especially the Old Testament is a bloody book. So how do we reconcile this bloody demand of God with His love and grace? I hope to clarify these issues this month of March as I teach 2 parts on this subject of 'Power In The Blood". Please do not miss this enlightening and inspiring teaching for your own edification. In preparation for The Passover I recommend that you study these Scriptures before March 30th. Exodus 11 & 12 Isaiah 52:13 - 53:12 Matthew 26,27, 28; Mark 14, 15,16; Luke 22,23,24; John 18,19,20,21
